Chestnut or Castanea Sativa lumber has been used for house construction and furniture production since the beginning of time. Thanks to its density and tannins, Chestnut is a very durable wood, suitable for structural and decorative uses, even in humid and unfavourable climates.
Our sawmills produce sawn chestnut wood, air dried or fresh, and solid structural beams with C18 and C24 certifications. We also sell posts with or without tips for rustic fencing, tongue-and-groove flooring, and boards for the manufacture of decking and roofing.

WHO WE ARE
Lugo´s Timber Sawmills Association
The Timber Export Lugo Association was built by 13 companies with vast experience in lumber exports from Lugo, Spain, and with the goal to internationalize their primary products.
Their exports include rough pine lumber, primarily Radiata Pine and Pinaster Pine and Chestnut, Castanea Sativa.
Timber Export Lugo’s objective is to position the products of its’ associates in international markets. To do so, after many years of selling their products through various channels, they’ve joined together to invest in professionalization and direct commercial efforts.
Timber Export Lugo has the capability, through the organization and coordination of its members, to supply large volumes of pine and chestnut wood regularly to any part of the world.
In our commitment to the environment and sustainability, all our companies are certified by PEFC and FSC, and comply with the EUDR regulations.
We export Radiata Pine and Chestnut lumber from Lugo to the 5 continents.
Lugo is a region very rich in forest mass. Among the coniferous trees, the Radiata Pine is our most versatile and highly demanded lumber; and between the hardwoods the chestnut is a species of high value and durability.
